In Concert: Jazz Cat Duo

As part of Loving Room Concerts x Toekomstmuziek we are super happy to host The Jazz Cat Duo for this We Live For Live Christmas Special!

The Jazz Cat Duo consists of 2 musicians and friends – Sofia Popova and Gabriel
Figueroa.

Sofia is a singer specializing in jazz, blues and Bossa Nova. Originally from Ukraine,
she graduated from Kyiv Academy of Music as a vocalist.

Gabriel is a 6-string bass jazz player from Chile where he studied music
performance and then obtained a master degree in Jazz at the Sydney
Conservatorium of Music.

The duo came to life in the spring of 2022, when musicians met in Amsterdam
and decided to collaborate. From an usual standards-playing band it became
some experimental duet with original arrangements of jazz, Latin, pop and even
Ukrainian music. With the interweaving of bass and vocals, rhythms and sounds
of Bossa Nova, jazz and funky music they create an enticing performance that will
mesmerize you.

The Jazz Cat Duo has been performing all around Amsterdam in different venues –
from bars and cafes to theaters. In their social media you can always find new
music, as well as reviews from their live performances.

Entrance is free/donation based. 100% of the donation go to the musicians and 10% of the bar- and kitchen revenue. Hope to see you this Thursday!❤️
