24uur West x Toekomstmuziek present: Jam, Food, Art, Live Showcase (Art/Live Showcase/Food)

ON Saturday the 25th of May we will be organising a cool JAM Session-Live Music Showcase-Flea Market for I amsterdam 24 uur West, https://www.iamsterdam.com/uit/24uur-amsterdam/west!❤️

As always our doors will be open for whoever wants to come and visit!:-) We will have our friends of Tacoteca, @tacoteca.nl, to join us to serve mouthwatering Tacos, yum!

Furthermore, we will start the event with a Music JAM for everybody to join. After the JAM we will have 3 awesome artists/bands to grace our stage and perform!

And lastly, we will be hosting a Flea Market open to anybody who likes to exhibit their art & crafts!🔥 If you are a creator and/vendor of art, crafts or clothes and would like to be part of the market as well, don’t hesitate to contact us through @toekomstmuziek.venue !❤️

Bonna Nikki:

BONNA NIKKI is the name of Dutch singer/songwriter Samuel Prins’ solo project. Translated, the name means ‘Born in Nikki’, and refers to his early childhood experiences growing up in the city of Nikki, Benin (West-Africa), where his interest in music began. In his music he blends the captivating sounds of Indie/pop and Afro/pop, creating a unique and infectious musical experience. Hailing from a diverse background (Dutch and French) and drawing inspiration from his multicultural roots, Bonna Nikki blends together rhythms, melodies, and heartfelt storytelling, while delving into themes of love, self-discovery, identity and self-expression.

Comet Falls:

Amsterdam’s Comet Falls is about big choruses, infectious guitars and a wry sense of melancholy weaved into songs you want to hear over and over. Threads of 80’s new wave get wrapped up in angsty alternative guitars, that somehow feel familiar and fresh at once. The group consists of Nate Shivers (vocals, guitar), Jason Chong (guitar, piano, keys), Jorrit Pals (guitar, synth), Paolo Mazzilli (bass), and Craig Nichols (drums) and was founded in 2021. Shivers, an American transplant to The Netherlands, showed a collection of songs to Chong and Pals and the three started work on demos as they worked on finding the “right fit” in a rhythm section. Almost a soon as they decided to go at it alone, the trio met Mazzilli and Nichols who quickly melded their diverse musical experience into the band. “We come from all over, each with different touchstones and experiences, that have really brought the music alive in amazing ways,” say Shivers. “I bring these very personal, and somewhat unadorned songs to these guys and watch the explosion. We have a lot of guitars, effects, keys… and now with Craig and Paolo, this super passionate and hard-hitting foundation. It has been awesome to hear where it all goes.” Comet Falls is working on their debut full length release and playing live across The Netherlands and beyond in 2024.
