Sterre Weldring:

Binnen een genre dat zich het beste laat omschrijven als ‘melancholische indie-pop’, schrijft Sterre Weldring nummers over de complexe emoties die de liefde en het leven met zich meebrengen. Ze probeert deze emoties te ontwarren, niet alleen om zelf dichter bij de waarheid te komen, maar ook om anderen daarmee troost te bieden. Dit doel bracht haar al tot de finale van de Grote Prijs van Nederland, Popronde en Radio 2. Afgelopen oktober verscheen haar tweede EP: ‘Hope and the Aftermath’.

La Nique:

Het Amsterdamse La Nique beoefent het oudste en tevens het meest tijdloze aller genres; folk. Folk a la La Nique is ambachtelijk, inhoudelijk en traditiebewust, met een knipoog naar rock, country en zelfs r&b. Het beoogde effect -of dat nu stil luisteren, woest dansen en/of luidkeels meebrullen- wordt zelden gemist.

Hunk

Hunk is not afraid of a direct confrontation with the setbacks of life and invites everyoone to dismiss them with a cheeky wink. This band sounds sweet yet angry, combining unfiltered 90s grunge with contemporary indie-pop. With striking synths, well-placed guitar parts and sharp vocals, they create a pleasantly sarcastic sound, aptly described as their self-proclaimed “Diet-Grunge”.
