“We Live For Live!” – Band Showcase ((almost) every Thursday)

This Thursday night Toekomstmuziek presents: “We Live For Live!” Band Night!!

During “We Live for Live!”, every Thursday, 3 or 4 live acts get showcased at our venue at Danzigerbocht 29, in the Houthavens in Amsterdam During these nights we combine different music genres and styles of live acts to really create an eclectic explosion and celebration of music as a whole!!! Our goal is to really come together, not although, but because we all have different backgrounds. Life, music, art, love is for sharing so let’s come together to enjoy beautiful music live in an intimate setting

LIVE 4 LIVE brings you the finest from the local music scene. Punk, rock, psychedelic or indie, we keep the line up fresh every week.

@dixitheband is an Amsterdam based Indie Glam band. Their music is inspired by the garage rock revival of the early 2000s combined with aspects of 80s rock and modern-day pop. Their compositions consist of hard-hitting bass lines, catchy melodies, whirl wind drums and shoutable hooks. Together this four-piece create an inviting environment with their fast-paced style.

@paropost incorporates a wide spectrum of genres and zeitgeists in their sound and gives it a new look. The texts are in English and cover topics such as youth, politics and the eccentricities of the 21st century, the band brings a nostalgia for not it fits but the now. With innovative rhythms and a dystopian synthesizer, the texts are brought to life and you are taken into the world of PARO.

@r3dvain is a dream pop band from the Netherlands. Through their music they are trying to transform
dream images into sound. With their self-titled debut EP you can enter a world of dreamscapes through
shadowy vocals, ethereal synthesizer soundscapes, guitars drowning in reverb and phantasmagoric lyrics.

@thisisoxblood is a band around Joy Burgers, that makes shoegazing folk grunge. Burgers explosive yet intimate songs remind of influences ranging from Courtney Love to Mazzy Star. Her gently scraping voice is surrounded by an array of bluesy guitars, and supported by a punchy bass. OXBLOOD is familiar and a little strange, like something you remember from a dream.
